Rain
As the rain rattled heavy
On the bunk-house shingles,
And the sounds in the night,
They made my ears ring.
'Til the keys of the guards
Clicked the tune of the morning,
Inside the walls,
The walls of Red Wing.

I really hate the rain right now. It's been falling for two days. Heavy rain, gray sky and soggy ground. My backyard looks like a lake. My rain gutters are stopped up with the next door neighbors leaves. The rain is pouring over the gutters and washing away my carefully manicured flower beds. It's actually been warm enough to go outside and putter, but the steady downpour is keeping me inside. I wonder if anyone else hates the rain as much as I do. I'll bet Tiger Woods does.
I'm sitting here thinking of things to do when it stops raining, and actually dries up a bit. I could put a rain garden in the backyard.....where the lake is now. Or I could build a rain barrel to catch all this rain for later use.
If only my ghetto car was running. I could drive to the french bakery and buy chocolate eclairs. Ummmmm!
